It is during this period that the tops of the plant should be collected, choosing ecologically clean places, away from roads and landfills.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/495363196_1243518690467299_1862646262508190040_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9294\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is best to do this at dawn, reading a prayer or wishing health to yourself and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where does wormwood grow and what does it look like?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have several types of wormwood, but the most common is bitter wormwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It forms dense thickets on wastelands, along fences, roads and abandoned fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a herbaceous perennial plant up to 1 meter high, blooming in July-August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Useful properties of wormwood<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wormwood has long been used in folk medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It:<br>\u2714 Improves appetite and normalizes digestion.<br>\u2714 Has anti-inflammatory properties.<br>\u2714 Has a calming effect and acts as a mild sleeping pill.<br>\u2714 Regulates blood pressure &#8211; increases in small doses, and decreases in large ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, wormwood-based preparations should be used with caution, strictly following the dosage and course of treatment under the supervision of a physician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to make wormwood infusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc Recipe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd39 Pour 1 teaspoon of crushed raw material with 2 glasses of boiling water.<br>\ud83d\udd39 Infuse for 20 minutes.<br>\ud83d\udd39 Take 1\/4 glass three times a day 30 minutes before meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collection and storage of wormwood<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 Basal leaves are collected before flowering, during the budding period.<br>\u2714 The tops of flowering stems are harvested at the beginning of flowering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u2714 Stems up to 25 cm long are cut with scissors or a sickle.<br>\u2714 Dry in the shade, in a draft, at a temperature of 30-40 \u00b0 C.<br>\u2714 Storage period &#8211; 2 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wormwood in folk medicine and traditions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wormwood was highly valued by healers of past centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, Avicenna used it for:<br>\u2714 Digestive disorders and gastritis.<br>\u2714 Liver and gallbladder diseases.<br>\u2714 Increased stomach acidity.<br>\u2714 Inflammation of the bladder and hemorrhoids.<br>\u2714 Joint diseases.<br>\u2714 Problems with the nervous system, melancholy and depression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was a belief that if a traveler wears wormwood as a belt or holds it in his hand, he will not get tired and will enjoy the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was also believed that washing the feet in a decoction of wormwood helps to make long walks easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian healers treated all stages of alcoholism with an infusion of wormwood and thyme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contraindications and possible side effects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wormwood is a strong plant and can be harmful if used incorrectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc What is important to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Do not use for more than a month! Then a break of 2-4 weeks is necessary.<br>\u274c Overdose can cause nervous disorders, convulsions, hallucinations.<br>\u274c If used incorrectly, headaches and exhaustion of the nervous system are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even Avicenna, who highly valued wormwood, warned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Bitter wormwood dries out the head, and its juice causes headaches.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udccc Before using any folk remedies, be sure to consult a doctor!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Between May 14 and June 14, wormwood begins to bloom, but does not yet have time to blossom.
