Every housewife can do it"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recently I faced the need to repair a mosquito net; old methods, such as using reinforced tape, no longer worked: the tape did not hold, and also did not allow air to pass through well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/475906453_1180884213397414_1321930141851592924_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9452\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obviously, this approach is not suitable for a mosquito net with large gaps, since its main function &#8211; air permeability &#8211; is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-44-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9462\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was able to easily remove the old, poorly held patch, and now I was faced with the task of installing a new one that would not interfere with air permeability.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-2-25-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9453\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article I will tell you how you can quickly and inexpensively repair a mosquito net, and this method is within everyone&#8217;s power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first thing I did was remove the damaged edges of the mesh, for which I used small side cutters &#8211; this is faster and more convenient than regular scissors.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-3-23-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9454\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then I cut a rectangle out of the mesh and started repairing it.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-6-15-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9457\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To seal the hole, you can use a serpyanka, which can be purchased at a hardware store at an affordable price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recommend using self-adhesive serpyanka, since it already has an adhesive layer, and you will not need to use additional glue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We make the patch 10-15 mm larger than the hole itself so that the patch holds more securely.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-6-15-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9457\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For my purposes, two strips of serpyanka were enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make small cells, it is enough to put one strip on top of another with a small overlap.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-7-14-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9458\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In my case, too fine a mesh is not required, since large insects such as wasps have already managed to penetrate through the old mesh that was poorly taped.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-8-13-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9459\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For reliable fastening, I glued the serpyanka to both sides of the mesh, placed a hard base underneath them and pressed it well.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-9-13-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9460\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now the mosquito net is repaired and ready for use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> It looks neat and much better than with the old tape, which did little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serpyanka provides good air permeability and is securely held by glue.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-10-11-768x432-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9461\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would be possible to replace the mesh with a new one, but I preferred not to waste much time and chose a simpler and more accessible repair method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> If you have other methods, share them in the comments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently I faced the need to repair a mosquito net;
