It turns out that in Soviet times there was one wonderful and very budget-friendly remedy that was in every home and helped our parents fight insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the USSR, various colognes were popular, which were considered economical perfumes and were used in a variety of situations: after shaving, as a disinfectant for wounds, as a facial or toothbrush cleaner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But few people know that some of these colognes were also used as an excellent repellent against mosquitoes, midges and other insects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strong and pungent smell of these products repelled insects at a great distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most effective was a cologne called &#8220;Red Carnation&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today it can also be found on sale, but modern analogues often do not correspond to the quality of those times and contain many synthetic additives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, I suggest you prepare this time-tested remedy yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process is simple: put cloves (one package) into a glass jar and add 200-300 ml of vodka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We insist the mixture in a dark place at room temperature for a week, not forgetting to shake the jar daily.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topsovety.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/scale_1200-3-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9531\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After this, the infusion needs to be filtered.
