It has no virtues or health benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some, like cola-based drinks, are even worse in terms of health hazards. But why do people, even well-informed ones, insist on drinking soda?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simple, lots of advertising, and most importantly, soda is addictive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And cola-based drinks are the most addictive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In simpler words, the act of stopping drinking soda requires, above all, willpower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But let\u2019s not stray from the topic of this article: the harms of soda. Therefore, we will only highlight the main ones here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bunny-wp-pullzone-qbwibhia54.b-cdn.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/yat.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-203715\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Weak bones\/ Osteoporosis<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The consumption of soft drinks increases the risk of suffering from osteoporosis, due to the action of phosphoric acid, which prevents the correct absorption of calcium, weakening the bones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A study by Tufts University found that women who drank soda three times a week had an average bone loss of 4% more (in areas such as the hips) than the group of women who drank other types of drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Obesity<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soft drinks are widely associated with weight gain and obesity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the increase in calories consumed leads to weight gain, but even diet soft drinks can cause this problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recent studies have shown an association between sugar-free soft drinks and an increase in waist size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diabetes<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A study of 90,000 women showed that those who drank one or more sugary drinks (such as juice or soft drinks) were more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sugary drinks increase fasting glucose levels and insulin resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Heart attack<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers at Harvard University found that daily consumption of drinks with a high sugar content increases the likelihood of suffering a heart attack by 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This risk increases with the amount of sweet drinks consumed daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Triglycerides<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if the person does not gain weight, soft drinks can be harmful to cardiovascular health, especially for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Women who consume sugary drinks are more likely to develop high triglyceride levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cavities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sugar contained in soft drinks makes any consumer a perfect target for tooth decay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kidney stones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most soft drinks contain oxalate, which can cause problems such as kidney stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Insomnia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soft drinks can also cause sleep disorders, such as insomnia, because they contain substances that stimulate the nervous system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gastritis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The high concentration of sugar, additives and acidic pH can cause digestive disorders, such as gastritis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Though there have been so much information about this, most people still drink this beverage.
