Shallot and egg pie

Since ancient times, the presence of a cake on the table has been considered a sign of prosperity. From an early age, girls learned the art of preparing this dish. Previously there was an ancient tradition according to which the girl, the day after the wedding, had to prepare a cake for all the guests to demonstrate her thrift.

Today these traditions have been abandoned, but savory pies are still often placed on holiday tables. And we will tell you how to prepare a cake suitable for any table.

Cake ingredients:

Yeast-free puff pastry – 400g (2 layers);
Green onions – 300 g;
Eggs – 4 pieces;
Suluguni cheese (mozzarella) – 200 g;
Salt – 1/2 tsp. or to taste;
Freshly ground pepper mixture – 1/3 teaspoon.
Preparation of the cake:

Finely chop the green onions. Crack 3 eggs into it. Add to this mixture the cheese grated on a coarse grater, a mixture of peppers and salt. Blend all the filling until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

Roll out the first layer of dough and place it on the bottom of the pan. Place the filling inside and level it.

Place the remaining layer of dough on top. We pinch the edges of the dough layers so that they do not fall apart during cooking.

Mix the rest of the egg so that the yolk and white come together. And with it we grease the top of the cake.

Place in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.

This cake will appeal to many people, because the cheese filling is very popular. Furthermore, if you want to decorate the cake a little, you can sprinkle it with sesame seeds before baking; it will marry perfectly with the rest of the ingredients.

Lifesaving recipe: I’m so happy about it.
