Operating principle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-ra3fo1806\">In this project, the original power supply no longer fulfills its function of converting AC 220\/110 V to DC 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V, but its metal housing and connections serve to mount an audio amplifier module (usually based on integrated circuits such as the TDA2030, TDA7297 or LM386).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Audio input: Comes from the phone&#8217;s headphone output.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amplification: The amplifier module increases the low voltage signal (from the cell phone) to a level sufficient to move the speaker coil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output: Connects directly to a 4 \u03a9 or 8 \u03a9 speaker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-9j92p1829\"><strong>2. Energy source<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-kquuc1831\">Instead of mains power, a 12V battery (as shown in the picture) is used to power the amplifier module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A 7 Ah sealed lead-acid battery can operate the system for several hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Power consumption depends on the type of amplifier and the output volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-tq4zf1842\"><strong>3. Technical advantages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Electrical noise isolation: By using a battery, the \u201chum\u201d that normally occurs when powered by alternating current is avoided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Portability: Does not depend on plugs, ideal for outdoor use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recycling electronic scrap: The power supply housing not only provides protection, but also dissipates heat thanks to its metal structure and ventilation slots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-nvz2h1857\"><strong>4. Typical reused components<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-l5zag1859\">Even if the power supply is no longer suitable for powering a PC, you can still use it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Internal fan: for additional cooling if the amplifier gets hot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molex\/SATA cables and connectors: for quick connections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch: the power supply&#8217;s own switch to turn the system on\/off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-64i3l1874\"><strong>5. Precautions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the power supply still contains charged capacitors, discharge them before handling (they may store dangerous energy).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect the battery polarity when connecting the amplifier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a fuse on the positive line to avoid short circuits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-fczk01940\">This type of repurposing is not only a DIY exercise, but also a practical way to understand audio circuits, portable power, and electronic recycling.
