However, it is essential to properly care for it to last a long time and ensure abundant flowering .

Peace lily flowers are cyclical, starting out green and turning brown shortly before falling. Normal flower color is often mistaken for a plant problem, and unnecessary measures are taken that can worsen the plant’s health.

Basic care of peace lily

Peace lily requires essential care to keep it looking its best and blooming continuously. Below we list the most important ones.

The leaves must always be clean to prevent clogging of the stomata and promote photosynthesis. Use a damp cloth to clean them.

Avoid using leaf brighteners: most of the time, they act by creating a film that ends up clogging the stomata.

Avoid exposing the plant to direct sunlight and try to place it in a cool place.

Peace lilies should be placed in bright corners. Poor positioning can prevent flowering.

Change the pot once a year. Peace lilies have numerous fibrous roots that harden the soil in which they’re planted and prevent water penetration. If this problem occurs, the leaves and flowers will grow smaller than expected and dry out quickly.

Fertilize once a month with an eco-friendly fertilizer.

Water moderately two or three times a week. Submerge the plant in a bucket of water and wait until it stops bubbling.

If the heating is on, try spraying the leaves with a little water. This will ensure sufficient humidity for flowering.

Plant the peace lily in a mix of three equal parts peat moss, potting soil, and sand.

Peace lily is one of the most popular and widespread houseplants in the world, both for its appearance (its glossy green leaves and beautiful flowers) and for its ability to purify the […]

[3

post-15980","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tips-and-tricks
["GET
