Some clothes are better left in the closet. On the cover of the April issue of Elle Spanish, Jessica Chastain used an interview to share her strong opinions on current fashion trends. Among the ones she hates the most are low-rise jeans, a favorite among Generation Z, specifically those born between 1995 and 2010. \u201cI know it\u2019s coming back, but I hate low-rise jeans,\u201d said the model, who was born in 1977.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the magazine\u2019s columns, the star of the movie  \u201cInterstellar\u201d<\/em>  (2014) did not mince her words. \u201cI think it\u2019s so gross, especially when you see a thong. I think it\u2019s horrible. And I hate seeing someone\u2019s underwear.\u201d A sentiment echoed by another celebrity: Rihanna. Last December, the wife of rapper ASAP Rocky told the TikTok medium @mysteryfashionist about her biggest fashion regret: daring to wear baggy, low-rise jeans with a revealing thong. \u201cWhat the hell was I thinking, man?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It must be said that no one really escaped the low-rise boom, especially in the 2000s, when icons like Paris Hilton and Kate Moss popularized it. However, this controversial denim is currently experiencing a strong comeback, embraced by the most fashionable models, from Bella Hadid to Emily Ratajkowski and Gigi Hadid. And let’s not forget the TikTok generation, which is bringing it back to its former glory since the 2020 lockdown and the return of the “2000s” trend (in French, the 2000s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
