At first I saw this strange object on the carpet in the bedroom, something thin and translucent. I thought it was just trash until the next day I found a similar piece, this time in the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I finally realized what it was, I was just horrified. Now I don&#8217;t even know how to continue living in this house. It looked like a thin, translucent ribbon, rolled up into a circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I thought it was some kind of garbage, maybe dried-up packing tape. But when I took it in my hand, it was soft, almost like parchment, and\u2026 strangely alive. There was a clear pattern of scales inside. I felt a chill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was still trying to be rational. \u201cYou never know what happens in old houses,\u201d I told myself. But then other things started happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At night I started hearing strange sounds \u2013 like something rustling under the floor. Sometimes a thin, barely audible hissing sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hayinfo.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/koja-zmei1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44633\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hayinfo.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/koja-zmei1.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first I thought it was the neighbors downstairs\u2014maybe children or pets. But after a few days the sounds got louder. They seemed to be getting closer, as if they were moving under our feet. Especially in the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was scared. My son was sleeping in his crib, and I woke up often at night to check if everything was okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the seventh day, I found another piece of that strange &#8220;ribbon.&#8221; This time behind the dresser in the nursery. The same soft, translucent material. I started searching the Internet. It was&#8230; snakeskin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I felt uneasy. I called the experts\u2014animal control. They came the next morning. They checked the bathroom, the kitchen, the basement. And that&#8217;s when we learned the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hayinfo.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/koja-zmei2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44634\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hayinfo.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/koja-zmei2.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spotted rat snakes, large North American snakes, have taken up residence under the floor of our house. They are not venomous, but they are quite impressive. What&#8217;s more, they have built a nest under the bathtub with many young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now I hardly sleep at night. I constantly check that the ventilation grilles are closed and that all the gaps are properly sealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you ever hear strange sounds or find strange objects, please don&#8217;t ignore it. It may not be just debris or a random sound. Be careful.
