They were perfectly round, smooth, and glittered in the sun, like tiny pearls scattered across the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first, I thought they were pieces of plastic or decorative beads, but they looked too natural. Putting on gloves, I carefully parted the soil. The balls were soft, slightly springy, almost gelatinous. A chill ran down my spine.&nbsp;<em>Eggs?<\/em>&nbsp;But whose\u2014birds, insects\u2026 or something more sinister?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I took a few home, turned on the lamp, and started examining them. Tiny dark dots were visible through the transparent shell. I went online\u2014and my heart sank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These turned out to be&nbsp;<strong>snail eggs &#8211; &#8220;snail caviar&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I shuddered. I knew snails reproduced like lightning and could destroy an entire garden bed overnight. But worse still, some species, especially tropical ones, carry parasites dangerous to humans. These harmless &#8220;pearls&#8221; could become a real threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I collected the entire nest and poured boiling water over it to prevent infestation. Then I thoroughly treated the area and checked the other beds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now I know for sure: even what seems harmless can hide danger.<br><strong>Nature is closer than we think\u2014sometimes right under our feet.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I noticed strange white balls in the garden bed and was horrified when I found out what they were.
