Most of the dead and injured were on the upper deck of the bus, Chan Hing-yu of the fire department told reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver is suspected of speeding while descending a mountain and losing control of the vehicle, traffic police spokesman Lee Chi-wai told the press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that he did not require medical attention after the accident, noting that his blood alcohol level indicated he was sober.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bus rolled onto its side and hit a lamppost, which in turn hit the front of the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passengers quoted by the media said the driver was driving at an extreme speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bus was traveling at a speed far exceeding what bus passengers are accustomed to, an injured passenger told the online publication South China Morning Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/actu.capital.fr\/imgre\/fit\/http.3A.2F.2Fprd2-bone-image.2Es3-website-eu-west-1.2Eamazonaws.2Ecom.2Fcap.2F2018.2F02.2F10.2F77b9044c-7fad-46e3-80bf-f8cf81794bac.2Ejpeg\/650x433\/quality\/80\/thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passengers reportedly complained to the driver, who was allegedly ten minutes late.
