at some point:<br>If cables carry thousands of volts&#8230;<br><strong>why can birds perch on them calmly without being electrocuted?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer is surprisingly simple and is based on basic principles of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd0c Electricity always finds a way<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Electric current&nbsp;<strong>only flows when it finds a complete path<\/strong>&nbsp;, that is, when it can go from a point of high energy to another of lower energy (usually the ground).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there is no path,&nbsp;<strong>there is no download<\/strong>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And without a potential difference\u2026<br>\ud83d\udc49 There is no current passing through your body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u26a1 Voltage doesn&#8217;t kill\u2026 current does.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may sound strange, but:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Voltage is \u201cpressure\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The current is the \u201cactual flow\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As long as no current flows through the body,&nbsp;<strong>electrocution does not occur<\/strong>&nbsp;, even if the voltage is very high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p companies place separators or insulators to prevent large birds from touching two lines at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
