The Main Thing Is Not to Leave Them Without Feeding at the End of July.

Exactly now many bushes start to become exhausted. The leaves are no longer so bright, there are fewer new ovaries, and the fruits grow more slowly. But this does not yet mean that the season is over.

There is a simple feeding that many gardeners have been using for many years. It is prepared from ordinary bread and helps support the plants during the period of active fruiting.

How to prepare the bread infusion

Take approximately half a bucket of stale rye or wheat bread. Pour warm water so that it completely covers it. Put a small weight on top and leave to infuse for 2–3 days in a warm place.

After fermentation strain the infusion and dilute it with clean water in the ratio 1:3.

How to water correctly

Before feeding be sure to thoroughly moisten the soil with ordinary water. Then under each bush pour approximately 0.5–1 liter of ready solution, trying not to get on the leaves.

It is enough to carry out such feeding once every 10–14 days.

Why this infusion works

During fermentation substances are formed that activate the beneficial microflora in the soil. The root system absorbs nutrients better, the plant more easily tolerates heat, forms new ovaries faster and remains productive longer.

For an even better result regularly collect even small cucumbers. The fewer overgrown fruits remain on the vines, the more actively the bush continues to flower and set new ones.

At the end of summer every day matters. A little care and timely feeding often allow collecting fresh, crunchy cucumbers even when the neighbours have already cleared their beds.

Exactly now many bushes start to become exhausted.
