And the Most Interesting Thing Is That Even Several Dozen Jars Often Are Not Enough Until Spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cKuban\u201d Salad for Winter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tomatoes \u2014 2 kg;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>white cabbage \u2014 1 kg;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cucumbers \u2014 1 kg;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sweet peppers \u2014 1 kg;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>carrots \u2014 500 g;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>onions \u2014 500 g;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt \u2014 2 tbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sugar \u2014 120 g;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>vinegar 9% \u2014 120 ml;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>oil \u2014 200 ml;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>black peppercorns \u2014 to taste;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bay leaf \u2014 3\u20134 pcs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step-by-step preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thinly shred the cabbage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the tomatoes into large pieces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the cucumbers into rounds or half-rounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean the peppers from seeds and cut into strips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grate the carrots on a large grater or cut into thin strips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the onions into half-rings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transfer all the vegetables into a large pot. Add salt, sugar, oil, bay leaf and pepper. Carefully mix and leave for approximately 1 hour so that the vegetables release juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After that put the pot on medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 15\u201320 minutes, stirring periodically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5 minutes before the end of cooking pour in the vinegar and mix well once more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Immediately put the hot salad into sterilized jars, seal tightly with lids, turn upside down and wrap well until completely cooled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Useful tips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the salad it is better to take dense, meaty tomatoes \u2014 they hold their shape well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you like a more piquant taste, you can add several cloves of garlic or a little hot pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is desirable to store the preparation in a cool dark place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This salad turns out juicy, aromatic and very colourful.
