In reality exactly now you can help the bush lay new buds. For this it is enough to correctly prune several types of shoots.

What needs to be removed:

Faded flower stalks. Do not leave dried buds on the bush. Make the cut above the first strong leaf with five leaflets. This stimulates the growth of new shoots.

Weak and thin shoots. They only take nutrients, but almost do not form large flowers. After their removal the plant directs strength to strong branches.

Branches that grow inside the bush. Because of them the crown thickens, ventilates poorly, and the risk of fungal diseases significantly increases.

Damaged or dried parts. Such shoots will no longer bring benefit, so it is better to remove them without regret.

After pruning do not forget to water the rose and feed it with a fertilizer with increased content of potassium and phosphorus. Exactly these elements help the plant form new buds faster and prolong flowering.

Already in a few weeks the bush will start producing young shoots, and approximately in a month it will again delight with lush flowers. A little summer pruning often gives a significantly better result than it seems at first glance.

And have you already pruned your roses after the first wave of flowering, or are you only planning to?

Many people think that after the first wave of flowering roses only have to wait for autumn.
