A very common picture you see is people at a bus stop waving branches, trying to ward off insects, because ordinary repellents are often useless. Living in a private house with its own plot, I also encountered this problem. But a few years ago I discovered an excellent and almost free way to get rid of mosquitoes for the whole summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-118.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-789\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-118.png 768w, https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-118-300x173.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What you will need for this:<br><\/strong>Two 1.5 liter plastic bottles.<br>One plastic bottle with a volume of 5 liters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, use a utility knife to cut off the necks of the small bottles so that they become funnels, as shown in the photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, in a five-liter bottle, cut two holes to match the diameter of these necks. Insert the funnels into the holes and secure them with hot glue or super glue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This creates a simple but effective trap for mosquitoes, wasps and other insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To make the trap work, you need to complete the following steps:<br><\/strong>Pour 200-300 ml of water into a large bottle.<br>Add one or two tablespoons of sugar.<br>Add a teaspoon of dry yeast.<br>Mix all ingredients thoroughly and pour the resulting mixture into the trap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-117.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-117.png 768w, https:\/\/www.garden-tricks.top\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-117-300x174.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carbon dioxide, which will be released during the fermentation of the mixture, will attract mosquitoes into the trap, where they will die. It is recommended to make several of these traps and place them around the perimeter of the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This method is an effective and time-tested method of mosquito control.
