Much tastier than store-bought ones, and easier to prepare than buns

Children know that you can buy gingerbread at any confectionery store, but not every adult realizes that they can be easily prepared from kefir and sour cream.

This recipe is so easy it’s worth trying. These gingerbread cookies will win your heart with their delicious taste!

Do you like gingerbread? Share your opinions in the comments below the article!

Let’s start by mixing eggs, kefir, sugar and vegetable oil (preferably without a pronounced smell) in a bowl.

Add sour cream and soda, salt.

Mix well. There is no need to extinguish the soda, since the recipe contains kefir.

Gradually add flour, kneading the dough. First, use a whisk, then, when the dough begins to form a lump, knead with your hands. The dough should be dense, but do not overdo it with flour.

Let the dough rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. This time is enough for it to increase in size. Kefir-based gingerbreads turn out much tastier than store-bought ones. Homemade baked goods always have a richer taste, delicate dough and a special aroma.

After 30 minutes, sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough using a rolling pin. The layer should not be too thin.

Using a mold, cut out round blanks.

If you don’t have a special mold, you can use a glass with a narrow neck.

Place the pieces on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake gingerbread cookies in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

The gingerbread cookies will increase in volume and become round and bake well. While they are baking, enjoying their aroma, prepare the glaze. You can add dyes, cocoa or vanilla sugar to it.

For the glaze, beat the whites until stiff foam using a mixer.

Add powdered sugar to the whipped egg whites. Mix again with a mixer.

This glaze will be sweet and hardens quickly and is very easy to prepare.

When the glaze thickens, dip the gingerbread cookies into it. Mix well until they are coated with glaze on all sides. Leave on a plate until completely frozen.

Gingerbread cookies turn out very tasty, sweet, with tender and airy dough inside.
