How to clean the chimney in any stove easily, quickly and without effort. An old stove-maker taught

Until recently, the only heating method in all private homes in villages and towns was a stove. The condition of these chimneys was monitored by people trained for this purpose – chimney sweeps.

They checked the condition of the chimneys, whether they required repairs, and cleaned them if necessary.

Although most houses have now switched to gas heating, there are still plenty of stoves and fireplaces left.

The first cleaning of the chimney should be done 1–1.5 years after the stove has been in operation, and then it should be done twice a year.

When the soot on the pipe walls reaches a thickness of 3 mm or more, this is an indicator and signal to clean the chimney.

If you do not do this, the consumption of firewood for heating the home will increase.

The fact is that soot is an excellent heat insulator, so the stove channel begins to heat up worse, and much more firewood will need to be burned to heat the house.

Quite a heavily clogged chimney

Therefore, this trick will be very useful for those who heat a wood-burning stove in a house or bathhouse.

As the stove heats up every day, soot accumulates on the walls of the chimney, which gradually worsens the draft in the stove, and over time can completely clog the chimney.

To prevent this from happening, and to avoid cleaning the chimney mechanically, you just need to add 2-3 handfuls of potato peelings to the firebox directly with the firewood from time to time when heating the stove.

The cleanings can be either dry or fresh. There is absolutely no difference.

The starch that is released when the cleanings are burned softens the soot and plaque on the walls of the chimney. When softened, it is thrown out due to the draft in the stove.

It is enough to burn the cleanings for 3-4 days in a row, and the chimney will be completely cleaned. It is advisable to repeat this procedure monthly. I have tested everything in practice, everything works!

Try it yourself, the effect will surprise you!
