My mother-in-law poured something into the toilet and we went for a walk. When we returned home, I couldn’t believe my eyes—the toilet sparkled like a diamond.

Recently, my husband and I went to visit my mother-in-law. We drank tea, watched our favorite TV series, and decided to go for a walk in the park, as the weather was nice.

We were all ready when suddenly my mother-in-law “disappeared” in the bathroom. A couple of minutes later, she came out, and we went for a walk. When I got home, I went into the bathroom and saw that it was shining like a diamond.

This surprised me greatly, and I decided to ask her how she achieved such a result in just five minutes.

She shared her secret with me. Now I clean my toilet only this way; I don’t need any other household chemicals.

I mixed equal parts baking soda and salt and poured a handful onto the inside of the toilet, flushing first to ensure the mixture adhered well.

I leave the whole thing for two or three hours, sometimes even overnight, then I just go over it with a brush and there’s no trace left of the plaque or unpleasant odor!

I also don’t forget about the flush tank; it needs cleaning too. It’s very simple: I dilute citric acid in a glass of water and pour it into the tank. After an hour, I flush, and everything is sparkling clean.

I do this procedure once a week. How do you clean your toilet? Share your recipe in the comments!
