Ingredients:
1 cup of plant-based milk (almond, coconut, oat, or even cow’s milk)
1 level teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 pinch of black pepper (increases curcumin absorption)
1 small piece of grated fresh ginger or ½ teaspoon powdered ginger
1 teaspoon coconut oil (or extra virgin olive oil, optional but helpful for absorption)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional but recommended)
Raw honey or maple syrup for sweetening (optional)
Preparation:
In a saucepan, heat the milk without bringing it to the boil.
Add turmeric, pepper, ginger and cinnamon.
Mix well with a whisk to dissolve the powders.
Add the coconut oil and continue mixing.
When the milk is well heated and combined, remove from the heat.
Sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup and drink immediately.
