Grapes need a lot of different nutrients throughout the growing season. For a stable and abundant harvest, it needs to be well cared for. Special attention should be paid to soil fertility and protection from pests and diseases.
Feeding:
Early.
When you open the grape bushes after wintering, carry out the first watering with a solution with the addition of 40-50 grams of urea per 10 liters of water per 1 square meter. m. When the average daily temperature is +7..+8 degrees, apply the organic preparation Trichodermin to the ground to protect plants from pathogenic microflora and harmful insects in it.
On the eve of flowering.
Feed grape bushes 10-15 days before flowering with cow manure, 1 kg per bucket of water or bird droppings, 0.5 liters of its infusion per bucket of water.
Or feed with a natural live fertilizer with added EM crops, green plants, bird droppings and wood ash. In this way, the soil is enriched with useful bacteria and substances. During flowering.
At the same time or before flowering, apply boric acid, 4-6 grams per bucket of water. This will save the plant from shedding flowers and ovaries and improve its ability to set berries.
At the end of flowering.
When the grapes fade, about 15-20 days later, and the first ovary the size of a pea appears, repeat the feeding. Carry out the second feeding for the growth of berry bunches, arrows and sleeves.
During the ripening of berries.
The grapes begin to ripen and soften, it is time for the third fertilizing with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer or wood ash infusion. It can be the following solution: dissolve 20-25 grams of potassium sulfate and 40-50 grams of superphosphate in a bucket of water. Feeding in autumn.
During the winter, add 1-1.5 kg of wood ash per bush and cover it with earth so that the vine ripens better.
And during the period of preparation for the shelter of grapes, apply the drug Metarizin to the soil to protect the grapes from pests that winter there. Also, be sure to add rotted compost and cover with soil.
Watering and mulching:
The best environment for EM culture is moist mulched soil. When you carry out the first loosening of the soil in the vineyard after wintering, be sure to mulch it.
