8g (1 tbsp) Sugar
4g (0.5 tbsp) Salt
15g (2 tbsp) Olive oil (Cooking oil can be used)
120ml Warm water
For the Garlic Sauce:
10g (0.5 tbsp) Minced garlic
20g (2 tbsp) Melted unsalted butter
30g (1 big tbsp) Cream cheese
For the Toppings:
280g Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Oregano (optional) or Parsley
For the Dipping Sauce:
Honey
Tomato sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix together the bread flour, instant dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
Add olive oil and warm water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Garlic Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, melted unsalted butter, and cream cheese. Mix until smooth.
Assemble the Bread:
Preheat your oven to 200Β°C (390Β°F).
Once the dough has risen, divide it into two equal parts.
Roll out each piece of dough to fit a 22cm x 17cm baking tray.
Spread the garlic sauce evenly over each piece of dough.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
Add a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and oregano or parsley if desired.
Bake the Bread:
Place the prepared breads in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve:
Cut the bread into slices and serve warm.
Offer honey and tomato sauce as dipping options.
Tips:
Parmesan cheese is salty, so use it sparingly.
For a softer texture, use bread flour instead of plain flour.
Adding cream cheese to the garlic sauce enhances the flavor, but it can be omitted if desired.
Enjoy your delicious and simple garlic cheese bread, perfect for any occasion! ![]()
