Not all gardeners succeed in growing stocky, healthy seedlings. This is because certain agricultural practices were violated, and the plants weren’t receiving the necessary nutrition.

But now is the right time to correct all the mistakes and provide our seedlings with the necessary fertilizers.
From year to year I feed my seedlings with the same homemade fertilizer, which helps me achieve the desired result.
Furthermore, I care for my seedlings properly, as dictated by the “laws” of agricultural technology. And I think it’s worth mentioning them here before sharing my “signature” fertilizer.
The most important thing for seedlings during the early stages of development is to receive sufficient light . Plants grown in semi-darkness will stretch and stunt.
Therefore, in the evening, we always provide additional lighting for our seedlings, whether they are vegetable or flower crops.
For good development of the above-ground part , seedlings require nitrogen . And to ensure they grow squat, fluffy, and develop strong roots, potassium and phosphorus are needed .
That’s why I always feed the seedlings with a fertilizer that contains all of these elements. I personally use “Agricola for seedlings.”
It contains everything necessary for the initial development stage. Furthermore, as the manufacturer assures us, it prevents the accumulation of nitrates in vegetables.
Proper watering is equally important for our small plants. Frequent dryness and overwatering of the soil will not improve the health of the seedlings and will negatively impact their growth.
If watering is consistently inaccurate, the seedlings will die altogether. Therefore, the soil should always be slightly moist, not dry or waterlogged.
The room where the seedlings are kept should not be too hot or too cold . Once the outside temperature reaches above zero, the seedlings should be gradually hardened off .

Now I’ll tell you directly about a homemade “drink” for seedlings, after which they are literally transformed after just a few days of use.
To prepare this dish we only need 3 ingredients that can be found in almost every home:
- 3% peroxide – half a teaspoon;
- sugar – 1 tsp;
- succinic acid – half a tablet.
Dissolve all ingredients in a liter of water at room temperature. Apply the prepared solution immediately after preparation. Use the resulting solution to spray the above-ground parts of the plant.
The solution can be used every 10-14 days not only for foliar treatment, but also for watering.
However, as practice has shown, this drink is more effective when sprayed on seedlings. This is because plants absorb micronutrients more quickly through their foliage.
