Pancakes with mayonnaise – tender and fragrant

I make these pancakes almost every day according to my own recipe . Their taste is different from the classic ones, but they are no less appetizing: tender, soft and with a slight spicy note.

Ingredients:

  • Water – 500 ml
  • Wheat flour – 9 tbsp. l. (be sure to sift)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 40 g
  • Vegetable oil – 40 g
  • Sugar – 40 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Baking powder – 0.5 tsp.
  • Vanilla sugar – 0.5–1 tsp.

Preparation:

  1. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, then add the sugar.
  2. Add mayonnaise, vegetable oil, vanilla sugar and baking powder.
  3. Gradually pour in the water and sifted flour, mixing well to avoid lumps.
  4. Grease the pan with oil only at the beginning, then fry the pancakes without additional fat.
  5. Fry for 1–2 minutes on both sides until golden brown.

Serve the finished pancakes with butter, sour cream, jam, or wrap them in your favorite filling.
