Collection and recovery of plastic bottles

sort the waste

Available in supermarkets large and small, plastic bottles are sold by the billions every year. To protect our planet, we must remember to recycle our bottles to minimize their toxic impact on nature! For proper recycling, these bottles should be placed in designated containers…

Once collected, the household packaging from our selective collection is recycled at a sorting center. There, the plastic bottles are separated from the rest of the collection and sent to recycling plants where they will be transformed into granules.

These are intended for the manufacture of new bottles or other products in contact with food.

Make a bird feeder from a plastic bottle!

Besides the fountain idea, there are many other things you can make with your plastic bottles! Make a bird feeder, for example! This will allow you to recycle your plastic, but it will also help these cute little birds survive by giving them food!

DIY plastic bottle

How about creating a bird feeder from a plastic bottle? It’s fun and entertaining, you’ll see…

  1. Get a 1.5 liter or 2 liter bottle;
  2. 1 rope or wire;
  3. Scissors ;
  4. 1 toothpick;
  5. 1 cup;
  6. And of course, birdseed.

Our method for manufacturing the feeder:

  1. We begin by thoroughly cleaning and drying the plastic bottle. Draw a circle on one side of the container and make an opening with a chisel.
  2. Two holes are made on either side of the bottle and a stick is inserted to act as a hanger.
  3. Fill the feeder with seeds.
  4. A hole is made on each side of the bottle towards the top of the neck. A strong string is passed through and tied in a knot.
  5. Using this rope, the feeder is suspended from the branches of a tree. It hangs about 3 meters above the ground to protect the birds from predators… in case there are cats around, for example…
  6. We’re thinking of personalizing the feeder with straw, pieces of wood, pallets, etc., to make it cozy for the birds!

You’ll be delighted to have them in your home permanently…
