However, the range of ingredients for candied peel is much wider than just citrus fruits. Today we offer you a recipe for candied strawberries.
The taste of these candied fruits is indescribable—you have to try it. And, importantly, these candied fruits are not only delicious, but also healthy!
Ingredients:
- Strawberries – 1 kg
- Sugar – 800 g
- Water – 1 l

Instructions:
- Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil.
- Plunge the berries into the boiling syrup and simmer for about 10 minutes. Then drain in a colander. We recommend choosing medium-sized and uniform-sized berries.
- Place the strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place them in the oven and dry them with the door slightly ajar at 45-50 degrees Celsius (113-122 degrees Fahrenheit) until the surface is thoroughly dry but still firm.
- Place the prepared candied fruit in sterilized glass jars and seal. If possible, place the candied fruit in a container, seal with a lid, and freeze.
These strawberries can be a great filling for pies, compote, cake decoration, or just a treat.
