🧾 Ingredients
For the custard dough:
- Flour — 150 g
- Water — 100 ml
- Milk – 100 ml
- Butter — 80 g
- Eggs — 4 pcs.
- Baking powder — 1 tsp.
- Salt – ½ tsp.

Step 1: Custard dough

Melt the butter in a saucepan, pour in the water and milk, add salt. As soon as the mixture boils, add the flour and baking powder and stir vigorously – you will get a thick mass that should easily lag behind the walls. Cool.
Step 2: Adding the eggs
Beat the eggs one at a time into the cooled mixture. The dough will be sticky and smooth. Divide it into two parts.
Step 3: Baking

Place each piece on a baking sheet (you can line it with parchment paper) and bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool the cakes.
Step 4: Custard

Mix the milk, sugar, eggs and flour. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and the first bubbles appear. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then cool.
Step 5: Whipped Cream

Beat the soft butter until fluffy, then add the chilled cream a spoonful at a time. You will get a smooth, silky mixture.
Step 6: Assembling the Cake

Spread all the cream on one cake, evenly distributing it. Cover with the second cake, pressing it down slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top if desired.
Place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to soak — and you’re done!
