Ingredients for 1 liter of marinade:
- salt – 1 tablespoon without a slide
- sugar – 4 tablespoons with a small slide
- vinegar 9% – 4 tbsp. spoons
- carrot tops – a few sprigs
- tomatoes – how many will fit in the jar
- garlic – 2–3 cloves
- bay leaf – 1 piece
- black pepper and allspice peas – 3–5 pcs.
Preparation:
- Thoroughly sterilize the jars (liter jars) and boil the lids.
- Place the tops, garlic cloves, bay leaf, and peppercorns on the bottom.
- Stack the tomatoes tightly, alternating large and small ones. Add a few more tops in the middle.
- Pour boiling water over, cover with a lid for 10 minutes, then drain the water.
- Prepare the marinade: add salt and sugar to the water, bring to a boil, and finally add the vinegar.
- Pour the hot marinade into the jars, tighten with a wrench. Turn them upside down and check for tightness.
- Wrap it in a blanket and leave it until it cools completely.
In winter, you open a jar and the aroma of summer returns to the table 🌿🍅
