BEEF RENDANG

Ingredients:

1kg beef

1000ml thick coconut milk or 3 coconuts

2 tbsp finely ground chili

1 turmeric leaf

4 lime leaves

2 bay leaves

2 lemongrass, crushed

1 star anise

1/2 tsp coriander

1/2 nutmeg

Salt to taste

Sugar

500ml water

How to make:

Add all spices and coconut milk, stir well, add meat, cook over low heat while stirring slowly for approximately 3 hours – 4 hours.

Correct the taste, do not add too much salt because the longer it is cooked the saltier it will be.

Fine Seasoning:

15 shallots

10 cloves of garlic

1 thumb of ginger

1 thumb of galangal

Enough turmeric until the color is a nice yellow

Method:

Puree all ingredients with a blender, add a little water.
