In folk medicine, dandelion is used very widely. Herbalists recommend using it for diseases such as atherosclerosis, inflammatory processes in the kidneys and liver.

And also for gallstones and kidney stones, cholecystitis, gastritis with low acidity, low potassium levels in the body, liver cirrhosis.
My grandfather always advised taking it for poor appetite, poisoning, swelling, and various joint diseases.
Dandelion has always been on our menu both in spring and winter.
In spring we harvested the plant, made salads, fried pancakes and baked pies, and in winter we ate dandelion honey and drank tea from flowers and roots.
Solar Elixir of Longevity for Children
This is my favorite way to prepare dandelion flowers. It has the most vitamins. Early in the morning, you need to pick the blossoming dandelion flowers and immediately put them in a three-liter jar.
Alternate the layer of inflorescences with a layer of granulated sugar. When the jar is half full, carefully tamp it down, you can use a wooden pestle.
Keep in the sun until all the sugar melts and turns into an elixir – a brown extract, slightly bitter, but pleasant to the taste. Take 1 teaspoon, adding to tea or other drinks, but best before meals.
If you are going to prepare healing honey for children, it is better to cut off the green roots, they will not be bitter and it will taste good. I advise you to cook honey and jelly in the same way, they will be light in color, transparent and tasty.
Anyone who often gets herpes on their lips or around their nose should eat 7-10 golden dandelion flower heads once a week during the entire flowering period, after first removing the green parts.
They taste sweet, with a honey smell. After such treatment you will forget about nasty rashes.
To cleanse the liver: wash 200 dandelion flowers, pour a liter of water and simmer for 25 minutes. Cool, strain, squeeze out the flowers. Add 1 kg of sugar and simmer until thickened.
Take 2 times a day, morning and evening, adding 1 teaspoon to a glass of water. If the liver is heavily contaminated, pain in the gallbladder may occur.
Rheumatism. Grind yellow dandelion flowers, add the same amount of sugar, mix. Put in the refrigerator for a week and a half. Strain the resulting liquid.
Take the infusion one tablespoon an hour before meals once a day.
Dandelion Juice Treatment
Dandelion juice is highly valued, as it has an excellent strengthening and tonic effect on the human body.
What is dandelion juice good for? It strengthens the body, relieves inflammation in the stomach, acts as a mild laxative for chronic constipation, for the liver and gall bladder, and as a choleretic.
In nursing mothers it helps to increase milk production. The juice also has an antipyretic and diaphoretic effect.
In early spring, dandelion leaf juice is very useful. Wash dandelion leaves well, soak in a concentrated salt solution for 20-30 minutes, wash again in cold water, scald with boiling water, mince, squeeze through a thick cloth, dilute with water 1:1 and boil for 2-3 minutes.
Take a quarter of a glass 20 minutes before meals 2 times a day.
For diseases of the spine and bones, as well as to strengthen and improve the general condition of teeth, it is recommended to consume a mixture prepared from the juices of dandelion, carrots and turnip leaves.
Dandelion juice can also be mixed with any wild medicinal plants. In order to saturate the body with all the substances necessary for health, it is enough to consume two or three spoons of this remedy daily before eating.
Dandelion leaves and roots are used for chronic liver disease, as a means of reducing the amount of cholesterol in the blood. The following mixture is recommended: fresh dandelion root juice – 100 g, 90° alcohol – 15 g, glycerin – 15 g, water – 17 ml.
Strain and take 1-2 tablespoons per day. It is recommended to take 50-100 grams of plant juice per day, as it has a blood-purifying property, can be used as a tonic, diuretic, for weak stomach, jaundice, skin diseases and gout. It is believed that dandelion reduces blood flow to the liver and dissolves gallstones.
In case of hypothermia and the onset of flu, squeeze the juice from the whole dandelion plant, preserve it with alcohol 1:1 or insist the whole plant on alcohol for 21 days in a dark place. Strain, squeeze, take 30-50 g 1-2 times a day.
Chop and grind a freshly picked dandelion leaf until damp and tie it to the bite site. Replace after two to three hours. Small young warts can be removed with dandelion juice.

Treatment with dandelion roots
From dandelion roots you can make a useful infusion, which is an effective blood purifier, tonic and diaphoretic.
Since the roots of this plant have a pronounced sugar-lowering property, they are recommended for use by people who suffer from diabetes, as well as those who are struggling with excess weight.
In addition, dandelion roots are used to prepare a powder that can heal burns, bedsores, wounds and ulcers, as well as restore the metabolic process in the body.
A decoction of dandelion root is used: to improve appetite, for insomnia, gastritis with low acidity, for jaundice, as a means of enhancing the activity of the pancreas.
Dandelion has a choleretic property: pour 5 level tablespoons of coarsely crushed dandelion roots with 1 liter of boiling water and boil under a lid for 20 minutes, cool and strain. Take 3 times 1/2 cup 1 hour before meals warm.
If you have no appetite: pour 2 teaspoons of crushed root into 1 glass of cold boiled water, leave for 8 hours. Drink 1/4 glass 4 times a day before meals.
For anemia, vitamin deficiency: pour 1 teaspoon of roots and leaves with 1 glass of boiling water, wrap and let steep for 1-2 hours, strain. Take 1/4 cup 3-4 times a day 20 minutes before meals. Or take dandelion leaf juice, 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day before meals.
For various blood diseases and as a means of improving metabolism: pour 1 tablespoon of crushed roots with 1 glass of boiling water, leave to infuse, wrapped, for 1-2 hours, strain. Take 1/4 glass 3-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
As a laxative: grind the dry roots in a coffee grinder to obtain a powder. Take the powder 1/2 teaspoon 3 times a day.
For skin diseases, boils, acne, it is good to prepare an infusion from dandelion root. To do this, pour 1 tablespoon of chopped, crushed roots with a glass of hot water, boil over low heat for 15 minutes, cool and strain. Take a third of a glass warm 15 minutes before meals 3 times a day.
Dandelion treatment of hemorrhoids. Pour 2 teaspoons of crushed dandelion root with a glass of cold water, leave for 8 hours, drink 1/4 cup 4 times a day. This remedy treats hemorrhoids.
Dandelion treatment for hepatitis. Pour 1 cup of cold water over 1 teaspoon of crushed dandelion root. Put on low heat and steam for an hour. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day half an hour before meals to treat hepatitis.
Treatment of jaundice with dandelion. Pour 1 teaspoon of crushed raw material into 1 glass of water, boil for 20 minutes, strain. Drink 50 ml three to four times a day. This choleretic agent is used in the treatment of jaundice.
Treatment of atherosclerosis with dandelion. Dry powder of crushed dry dandelion roots is used for severe atherosclerosis with memory loss to remove excess cholesterol from the body and remove harmful substances. 5 g of powder before each meal is enough, and after 6 months there is an improvement.
Treatment of arthritis with dandelion. Pour 6 g of dry dandelion roots with a glass of water, boil for 10 minutes, leave for 30 minutes. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day before meals to treat arthritis.
Treatment of giardia with dandelion. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of crushed dandelion root, heat in an enamel bowl in a water bath with frequent stirring for 15 minutes, cool for 45 minutes at room temperature, strain, squeeze out the remaining raw material.
Bring the volume of the resulting decoction to 200 ml with boiled water. Store the prepared infusion in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days. Take warm 1/3 cup 3-4 times a day 15 minutes before meals. Lamblia is well treated with this remedy.
Dandelion treatment for flatulence. Pour 1 cup of boiled water over 2 teaspoons of crushed dandelion root and leave for 8 hours. Drink 1/4 cup 4 times a day before meals to treat flatulence.
Dandelion treats liver cirrhosis:
- Brew 1 teaspoon of dry dandelion root in 1.5 cups of water, boil for 5 minutes and drink like tea.
- Cover a layer of dandelion flowers with a layer of granulated sugar, put under pressure for 1-2 weeks. Use instead of jam.
Dandelion treatment of breast tumors. Folk recipe for getting rid of breast tumors: grind fresh dandelion roots and apply to the sore breast. This folk remedy dissolves tumors of the female breast and hardening under the arms and in the groin, both in women and men.
Treatment of gastritis with low acidity with dandelion. Gastritis with low acidity is treated with juice from dandelion leaves. The recipe is as follows: wash dandelion leaves, soak for 20-30 minutes in strongly salted water, then rinse in cold water, scald with boiling water, mince and squeeze through a thick cloth. Dilute the juice with water 1:1 and boil for 2-3 minutes. Take 1/4 cup 2 times a day 20 minutes before meals.
Dandelion will increase lactation. Water infusion of dandelion roots and leaves increases milk secretion in nursing women. Brew 1 teaspoon of dandelion roots and leaves with 1 cup of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes and drink instead of tea.
Treatment of corns with dandelion. Corns can be removed with dandelion, for this purpose lubricate the corn with fresh dandelion juice.
Allergy. Grind dandelion root and burdock root in a mortar and mix. Take 2 tablespoons of the mixture, pour 3 glasses of water and leave overnight. Boil for 10 minutes in the morning, then leave for the same amount of time. Drink half a glass before meals and at night (5 times a day).
Dandelion Oil for Constipation
This folk remedy from dandelion is prepared as follows: on a sunny day, you need to collect golden cups of dandelions with full milky stems, grind them and fill a glass jar halfway with them.
Then pour in any unrefined vegetable oil. Tie the neck with gauze and place the vessel in the sun. Three weeks – and the oil is ready. For poor digestion and constipation in the intestines, take 1 tablespoon before each meal.
Dandelion oil for burns
Another folk recipe for making dandelion oil is to put any number of dandelion flowers in a glass jar and pour in sunflower oil so that it covers the flowers. Place the jar in a pan of water, putting a cloth on the bottom, and boil for 40 minutes. When it cools, squeeze the resulting oil through a nylon stocking and use it to treat the burn.
Dandelion tincture treats papillomas and acne
Dandelion tincture is used in folk medicine to treat papillomas and acne. A jar or other container is packed as tightly as possible with yellow dandelion flowers and filled with triple cologne. Infuse for 2 weeks in a dark place, lubricate papillomas with the tincture until they disappear completely.
Dandelion tincture for radiculitis
Dandelion tincture treats many diseases, including radiculitis. In the spring, collect dandelion flowers, chop finely and fill a container to the top (it is better if it is a 0.7 l dark glass jar). Pour in two bottles of triple cologne (or alcohol or vodka) and leave to infuse for two weeks in a dark place, but not in the refrigerator.
Do the procedures at night, rubbing the sore spots with the resulting gruel. Then wrap them up well with a warm shawl or scarf. 2-3 procedures are enough to alleviate the condition with radiculitis.
Along with rubbing, you can drink a cup of dandelion tea twice a day or take 1 tablespoon of dandelion juice. Tincture on vodka for joints
For joint pain
Grind the inflorescences of flowering dandelions and put them in a jar, pour in vodka 1:1, leave for 12 days in a dark place, shaking occasionally. Strain, squeeze. Lubricate the joints with the tincture for 5 minutes, then rub until a burning sensation appears, wrap in linen material and insulate overnight.
Vision
Dandelion (root) – 3 parts, onion – 2 parts, honey – 4 parts. Mix 3 g of dandelion juice, 2 g of onion juice and 4 g of fresh honey, leave for 3 hours in a dark place. The ointment is placed behind the eyelid 2 times a day when vision is weakened, to prevent the development of cataracts. Collection for the treatment of diabetes
For diabetes
Mix dandelion (leaves), chicory (leaves), nettle, galega (herb) and walnut (leaves) in equal quantities. Pour 1 tbsp of the mixture with 2 glasses of water, boil for 2-3 minutes, leave for 5-10 minutes, strain. Take 3 tbsp 3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals.
Dandelion Treatment for Anemia
Mix 3 tablespoons of dandelion flowers, chicory and lungwort. Add 2 tablespoons of nettle and 1 tablespoon of wormwood. Pour 1 liter of boiling water over 6 tablespoons of the mixture. Drink 50 ml 6 times a day.
Dandelion Treatment for Insomnia in Children
Mix 2 parts peppermint and anemone, 1 part lemon balm and dandelion roots. Pour 1 liter of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of the mixture. Give children half a glass to drink a day before bed. If there is no allergy, you can add honey.
Treatment with dandelion for constipation, bloating, hypertension. Pour 10 grams of dandelion flowers with a glass of water and boil on low heat for 15 minutes. Infuse for half an hour. Drink 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day.
Dandelion Treatment to Improve Metabolism
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of crushed dandelion leaves and leave for an hour. Drink one third of a glass 3 times a day before meals for 2 weeks.
Or there is another recipe: pour 1 tablespoon of crushed dandelion pods with 1 glass of vodka, leave for 2 weeks, strain. Take 30 drops 3 times a day.
Dandelion treatment for atherosclerosis
Grind dry dandelion roots in a meat grinder, take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day. Of course, it is bitter. Therefore, it is better not to chew them, but just hold them in your mouth, let the saliva coat everything and swallow. It is better to take them with honey or some sweet syrup.
Treatment with dandelion for constipation as a choleretic agent
