The filling ingredients used in these puff pastry spirals are cheap and you probably have them in the refrigerator: tomato sauce, cooked ham and cheese . As you can see, they are also typical pizza ingredients, such as the oregano with which we sprinkle our puff pastry bites, which is why their flavor is very reminiscent of the quintessential Italian recipe.
Crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside, these spirals are ideal for an aperitif or an informal dinner , we assure you that not one will be left over.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of chilled puff pastry
- 200 grams of sliced Havarti cheese
- 200 grams of cooked ham
- 4 tablespoons fried tomato
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon oregano
1. Prepare the puff pastry
Preheat the oven to 180°. Spread the puff pastry sheet on the work surface using a rolling pin and cut it into two halves. Brush each half with the fried tomato and arrange half of the slices of cheese and cooked ham on top of each one.

2. Roll and cut into slices
Roll both sheets of puff pastry on themselves, cut them into slices approximately 5 cm wide and place them in a refractory dish lined with parchment paper.

3. Bake the spirals
Beat the egg and brush it on the spirals, sprinkle them with the oregano and bake them for 15 to 18 minutes or until they are golden brown. Serve them as an appetizer, either hot or cold.
