Many people know that ginger root is very useful for immunity. That’s why I try to take it, at least occasionally. It’s good that our “Magnet” always has it.
A month and a half ago, while poking around in a box of ginger, I came across a root with swollen buds.
The thought flashed through my head that such a specimen had every chance of sprouting. I liked the idea, and I put it in the basket.
I was warmed by the thought that this time there was no need to grow a plant from a seed and wait for it to grow.
Everything could happen much earlier. After all, the root system is already there, you just need to awaken it correctly.
I put the ginger root in a spacious pot and covered it with soil so that the top of the root was exposed.
For some reason, it seemed to me that this way it would be easier for the sprouts to start growing.
More than a week passed, but no visible progress had been made. The previous buds remained in an embryonic state, and no new ones appeared.
I didn’t understand why the ginger didn’t want to grow.
It seemed like a living root in a favorable environment. It clearly lacked something.
Then I completely covered it with soil and continued to water it daily in the hope of awakening.
About a week later the first sprout appeared! Hooray, it woke up!
Soon the second one appeared, and the first one was already 10 cm long. With each new day the stems became longer and thicker. The first leaves began to appear.
They grew so quickly that after another 12 days the height of the first sprout was already 65 cm, and the width of the leaves reached 3 cm.
If this continues, we will have to take it to the dacha and look for a place to land.
And towards morning a third one appeared. Now it looks like he likes everything.
In addition to its useful properties, this plant is famous for its beauty. In autumn, a large red bud appears on adult bushes. It secretes a specific juice that has a pleasant smell and has antiseptic properties.
The flower is very durable, it can stand in a vase for several weeks without wilting. Here, such a plant is sold in almost any grocery store.
