Whether it’s a boring hairstyle we’ve worn for years or clothes we’ve grown tired of, small changes always help us feel better.

Rosa Ramirez, an American, realized it was time for a change after not having a haircut for 25 years.

Because her hair was so long, she sometimes walked in it.

For many years, her husband tried to get her to change her hairstyle, but she was always proud of her five-foot-long hair.

Finally, she got fed up, and after 25 years of hard work, she and her friends went to the hairdresser. They cut her hair to her shoulders.

Salon owner Eda Mochka told WXYZ-TV Detroit, “We love seeing customers do different things, different styles. We meet up a lot, and I always see her the same.”

But she didn’t do what she did for nothing. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer. Rosa sent them 4 feet of her hair.

Ramirez says, “I think it will make a sick person’s day a little better.”
