🍞 Oven-baked fluffy pita bread 🥖 🔥
Required ingredients:
200 ml lukewarm milk
100 ml warm water
2 tablespoons yogurt
3 tablespoons oil
1 sachet instant yeast (7 g)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons salt
Approx. 500-550 g flour
Preparation method:
Add the lukewarm milk, warm water, yeast and sugar to a bowl and mix well.
Add the oil and yoghurt, continuing to mix.
Gradually add the flour and salt, kneading until you obtain a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 45 minutes, until it doubles in volume.
After rising, gently press the dough to remove any trapped air.
Divide into 10 equal balls, cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Roll each ball out on a floured surface, using a rolling pin, until it forms a round shape, the size of a dessert plate.
Place on a tray lined with baking paper.
Place the tray in the oven preheated to 250°C and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the loaves become golden brown and fluffy.
