Limescale deposits in the toilet are an inevitable consequence of toilet use. Plaque (mainly composed of calcium and magnesium molecules) forms when the water left on the surface evaporates and dries. The only thing you can do is flush regularly. Even one of the cosmetic products you probably have at home can help. This cosmetic product is a shaving foam (not a gel!). This choice may seem a bit surprising, but this method really works.

Shaving foam has excellent cleaning and polishing properties and helps easily remove limescale buildup in the toilet. This trick is extremely simple yet very effective.
How to clean the toilet with shaving foam?
Using shaving foam to clean the toilet is very simple.

Apply the cosmetic product to the toilet brush. Scrub the inside of the toilet bowl with vigorous movements. Let the foam sit on the surface for a few minutes. Finally, dry the toilet bowl thoroughly and rinse with water to remove any remaining shaving foam.

After using this trick, the limescale will disappear and the surface of the toilet will become clean and shiny.

This method is very effective and the results are stunning. But in my opinion, it’s not very economical. Sometimes I borrow some foam from my husband when I see I’m running low on toilet cleaner.
