Nettle with alcohol (rakija or homemade vodka) for external use. A remedy not to be underestimated!
For many, nettle is just a nuisance weed to be eradicated. But for others, it’s one of the most powerful natural remedies that grows wild in public places. Nettle grows abundantly, and its effect on our health is truly priceless.
If you want to take full advantage of its healing properties, don’t hesitate to soak it in rakija or homemade vodka. It’s an excellent natural remedy for hair loss and joint or bone pain.
What is nettle used for externally?
It reduces hair loss
, helps with rheumatism,
relieves varicose veins,
relieves joint and bone pain,
nourishes and regenerates the skin,
fights skin diseases,
improves hair and skin health,
reduces muscle spasms.
Remember:
• Harvest nettles before they flower: they are stronger (after flowering, nutrients go to the flowers). Choose young shoots only a few centimeters long.
• Young nettles can be used to make an infusion; older ones should be boiled briefly to neutralize the burning effect.
Nettles and alcohol for healthy hair and joint pain relief.

• Using a wooden spoon, press the fresh nettles into a 300ml glass container until they’re about ¾ full. Add the remaining alcohol (vodka or rakija).
• Close the container well and leave to rest for 4 days, pressing the nettle every day with a wooden spatula.
• After 4 days, filter through cheesecloth.
For hair care
If you experience hair loss, massage this mixture into your scalp every other day for two weeks.
To strengthen and thicken your hair, use the infusion after every wash.
For joint pain and swelling,
rub the mixture into sore joints before bed; it’s especially helpful for sore wrists and knees.
It is also effective for varicose veins: apply it with a cotton pad to the affected areas.
This is a powerful home remedy that I highly recommend.
