It’s been two years since I insulated my balcony, and I’m pleased with the results. I now spend even more time there, even when it’s -25 degrees outside. In the summer, I worked there with the windows open to avoid getting too hot.
If the weather is windy, you can immediately feel the cold blowing through the cracks and being on the balcony is no longer so comfortable.

The first thing to do is to check what mode the locking mechanism is currently set to.
The windows have special eccentrics for adjustment.

This system allows you to achieve a tight seal across the entire window surface, and it’s easy to check using a standard sheet of paper. Click on the image to watch the video.
The pressure is weak, it can be tightened.
We open the window, put the sheet of paper on it and close it with the handle. If the sheet is easily pulled out, then the pressure is very weak and it needs to be adjusted.

Regarding the pressure, I think everything is extremely simple, but this is not the main reason for the blowing out of the window; there may also be a problem with the rubber itself.
If your windows are many years old, then the rubber seals will lose their elasticity over time, become hard and may even crack.
The only solution here is to replace these rubber bands; fortunately, they are inexpensive and you can install them yourself in half an hour.
If this is not possible, then another option is to use a sealant for windows and doors, but this is an extreme case and only temporary, since they have less elasticity.

With such a seal, the window will not be blown through, but it is worth considering replacing the rubber with new ones.
There is no wind now.
After these simple steps, the draft from the window will no longer be there, and the balcony will be warm again. As you can see, there’s nothing complicated about it; you can do it yourself if you approach it wisely.
