Anthurium is one of the most beautiful houseplants, but very often it stops blooming for no obvious reason.
The leaves look healthy and grow well, but there are no flowers.
There is a simple home remedy that our mothers and grandmothers used — an ordinary lemon.
Why lemon?
Lemon contains:
- natural organic acids
- vitamin C
- substances that slightly acidify the soil, which anthurium loves
A mildly acidic environment helps stimulate bud formation.
How to use it properly (IMPORTANT!)
Do NOT pour pure lemon juice directly into the pot.
This can burn the roots.
The correct method:
- Take half a lemon
- Squeeze a few drops of juice into 1 liter of water
- Mix well
- Water the anthurium on already moist soil
- Repeat no more than once a month
The result:
- new flower stalks appear more actively
- flowers become brighter
- the plant looks healthier and more vibrant
Important: this method is suitable only for anthurium and other plants that prefer acidic soil.
