Dough
- 400g plain flour
- 250g butter
- 150g powdered sugar
- 1 baking powder
- 2 egg yolks
- a pinch of salt
Filling
- 1 kg of apples
- 100g sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Procedure
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, butter and egg yolks. Knead a smooth dough. Divide it into 2 parts and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Coarsely grate the apples and remove any excess juice. Mix them together with the sugar and cinnamon. Roll out half of the dough and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Layer the apple filling on top of the dough. Roll out the other half of the dough and place on top. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees. After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
