In today’s article, we will show you a simple trick to make your orchid bloom again. Orchids are beautiful and charming plants that are perfect for your interior.

Growing them is not complicated, but you need to provide them with the right care so that they bloom and stay healthy. If your orchid has stopped blooming, there is no need to worry. Some types of orchids bloom only 1-2 times a year.

If your orchid has not bloomed for more than a year, it is important to give it proper care. We will introduce a method to stimulate its flowering, thanks to this method your orchid will be beautiful and pest-free. It is important to consider what your orchid needs.

Trick to make an orchid bloom

  1. Regular care
Check if the substrate is too wet. This may be one of the reasons why the orchid is not doing well. This substrate is not suitable for home cultivation. First, remove the old substrate and cut off any damaged roots. The regeneration of the plant can be compromised by damaged leaves and dry flower stalks, so remove them. Wash it thoroughly to get rid of bacteria and mold.
  2. Garlic fertilizer
Garlic has antibacterial and antifungal properties and protects the plant from diseases and pests. Take a clove of garlic, crush it and mix it with 500 ml of water. Strain and use a cotton swab to clean the leaves with the resulting solution. Soak the orchid roots in garlic water for about 25 minutes. This will disinfect the base of the plant and promote root growth. Then let the roots dry completely. This will prevent rotting. Return them to the container and place the orchid in a cool and well-lit place. Clean the leaves with water once every 4 days. After 1 month, new roots and healthier leaves should appear.
  3. Other tips
Boil the water before use and then let it cool. When we see that the orchid has visibly grown stronger, it is time to repot it. We use pine bark as a substrate. We take care of the plant regularly. The orchid needs higher humidity and diffused light. We also regularly check the leaves and roots. The correct temperature regime is also important.
