The washing machine is one of the most essential appliances  that no home can be without. But at the same time,  it’s also the most expensive appliance  and one that often causes us quite a few problems. 

How often does your washing machine leak, get stuck, or fail to spin? Often, you have to call a technician. In fact, if your washing machine is a few years old, you often decide to look for deals to replace it. Ultimately, this leads to recurring expenses, not to mention the cost of the bill.

Washing machine and bad smells: the quick and effective solution!

Another  common problem with washing machines  , and one that causes us a lot of trouble,  is bad smells  . How often do we have to start a new wash cycle because when we take  the clothes out  to hang them up  , they smell bad, even worse than before?  

So, we start thinking about the different possible causes. For example, we assume the clothes were too dirty or smelled too strongly of sweat, or that the load was too heavy and didn’t get properly washed. We try separating the clothes and doing two separate washes, we think the detergent is too cheap and not very good, and we rush out to buy a new, better-brand one. But despite all these remedies, the washing machine still makes the clothes smell bad.

Don’t despair thinking your washing machine is broken and no longer washes properly, and don’t immediately consider replacing it. In fact,  it’s often an easily solved problem.  Look  under the door seal  and you’ll notice  mold hiding there.  Here’s the problem!  Take a damp cloth, pour a little bleach  on it, and  , holding the seal open, wipe the entire inside  . You’ll see how much mold and grime has accumulated wash after wash.

To keep your clothes smelling fresh, do this cleaning occasionally to remove mold  , and you’ll see that your clothes will always smell great. If you want to check the supermarket, you’ll also find specific products for deep cleaning your washing machine and seals. But this is the quickest and most effective method.
