Ingredients (for a large portion):
- 1 large potato, boiled
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- Salt, to taste
- 100 g grated cheese
Preparation method:
1. Preparing the dough:
- Place the boiled potato in a bowl and mash it well with a fork or potato masher.
- Add the melted butter and flour over the mashed potatoes. Salt to taste.
- Knead until you get a soft, compact dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
2. Forming the filling:
- Take a piece of cling film or baking paper and grease it with a little butter or oil.
- Flatten the dough with your palm on the foil, forming a thin square.
- In the middle of this square, place the grated cheese.
3. Modeling the preparation:
- Lift the foil from the four corners to wrap the cheese in the middle of the dough.
- Shape the final shape into a square or cube, making sure the dough completely covers the cheese.
4. Roasting:
- Heat the oil in a pan over moderate heat.
- Place the square or cube of cheese dough in the hot oil.
- Fry on all sides until nicely browned and golden brown.
Service:
- Remove the dish to an absorbent napkin to remove excess oil.
- Serve it warm to enjoy the melted, creamy cheese inside.
