Recipe: Potatoes with Cheese in Dough – Tasty and Easy to Prepare

Ingredients (for a large portion):

  • 1 large potato, boiled
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • 100 g grated cheese

Preparation method:

1. Preparing the dough:

  1. Place the boiled potato in a bowl and mash it well with a fork or potato masher.
  2. Add the melted butter and flour over the mashed potatoes. Salt to taste.
  3. Knead until you get a soft, compact dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.

2. Forming the filling:

  1. Take a piece of cling film or baking paper and grease it with a little butter or oil.
  2. Flatten the dough with your palm on the foil, forming a thin square.
  3. In the middle of this square, place the grated cheese.

3. Modeling the preparation:

  1. Lift the foil from the four corners to wrap the cheese in the middle of the dough.
  2. Shape the final shape into a square or cube, making sure the dough completely covers the cheese.

4. Roasting:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over moderate heat.
  2. Place the square or cube of cheese dough in the hot oil.
  3. Fry on all sides until nicely browned and golden brown.

Service:

  • Remove the dish to an absorbent napkin to remove excess oil.
  • Serve it warm to enjoy the melted, creamy cheese inside.
