The story of Cristian, the 9-year-old boy who is brilliant at math and taught himself English

Cristian is a special child. Since kindergarten and then at school, the teachers noticed this.

This one. He has an ultra-fast mind, absorbs information like a sponge, is ingenious, and his thirst for knowledge is impressive.

He taught himself English, even though it’s only taught in the fourth grade at school, and the complex (and correct!) solutions he finds to math problems amaze his teacher.

Cristian, however, suffers from an autism spectrum disorder, undiagnosed precisely, because he comes from a family of simple people, without material possibilities.

One of the best students not only in his class, but also in the school, Cristian uses the Naradix platform not because he needs to catch up on the subject, but out of a desire to know more, to discover new things.

At just 8 years old, after struggling between life and death, Leonard started school in the hospital and was among the first students.
Designed in an interactive way, with lessons in the form of puzzles or games, the remedial education platform made available free of charge by Narada can be used by children from grades 0 to 8 both

to catch up on classes lost during the pandemic, as well as how Cristian uses it: to discover a fascinating world of information that he has access to whenever he wants.

Doctors told her not to keep the pregnancy.

When she became pregnant with her second child, Cristian’s mother was advised not to continue the pregnancy. The previously established diagnosis of epilepsy raised suspicions about the fetus’s health and proper development.

“The doctor told me to have an abortion, to throw him out because otherwise he would end up sick, with problems, handicapped. I said that no matter what, I would raise him, that he was mine,” says Angelica Bulgărescu, the boy’s mother.

And so Cristian was born, a child with a very high level of intelligence, a lover of nature and tranquility, who wants to become a fisherman when he grows up. “I like water and fish,” the boy explains.

If he doesn’t know people, Cristian is extremely reserved and quiet. In addition, excessive noise is extremely disturbing to him – this is how Cristian’s affection manifests itself concretely.

“He’s a special child,” his teacher observed. She had heard about him since he was in kindergarten, from the teacher’s stories, and when she found out he would be coming to her class, she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to handle him.

“It never even crossed my mind that we would be best friends and that we would say everything to each other’s faces, without any hesitation, especially him. He always says exactly what he wants, what he thinks is right,” the teacher adds.

What is striking about Cristian is his way of thinking, “different from other children.” In the second grade he taught himself English, although this is only a subject of study in the fourth grade, and he can easily hold a conversation in this language.

“He’s the best at math. He has solutions to problems that I don’t expect either, and I have to ask him many times how he came up with that solution, which is also correct.”
