Therefore, it is important to select coffee according to the machine that will be used to prepare it.
Motivating 60 million consumers ( 4/7 ) To help consumers make informed choices, 60 million consumers researched this issue. The association’s experts conducted an analysis to provide a qualitative assessment of several coffee brands available in supermarkets. The association based its comparative study on three aspects: the presence of harmful substances, the presence of foreign impurities and the polluting nature of the different products.
Research progress ( 5/7 )For this analysis, 51 coffee varieties from both store brands and leading brands were selected and analyzed. The products tested included certified organic coffee, capsules and pods, coffee beans, ground coffee, and instant coffee. The results show that some of these brands contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and acrylamide, which are potential carcinogens. In addition, insect fragments were found in some of the products.
The worst coffee shops to avoid ( 6/7 )According to the association, coffee capsules and pods should be avoided. From an environmental point of view, they are harmful because the capsules are not recyclable. In fact, capsules from brands such as Intermarché, Carte Noire, L’Or Décaféiné and Lavazza pods are among the brands to avoid. Other products such as Naturela coffee beans, Grand’Mère ground coffee and Bellarom ground coffee beans from Lidl and Alter Eco should also be excluded from your diet.
What you need to know ( 7/7 )A study shows that not all coffee is created equal. Coffee beans and ground coffee are preferred because they are less harmful and have a more pronounced taste.
