Prayer to the Guardian Angel
“Holy, guardian angel of my life, pray to Christ God for me, a sinner! Angel of God, you stand without intercession before the Holy Trinity. So I beg you not to cease praying for me, your servant.
As one who has received strength from God to guard my soul, do not cease, with the cover of your wings, to cover it forever. Grace be to Jesus!

He who gave you to me, the great guardian of my soul. And the weapon against my enemies, God-honored angel. Make me worthy to acquire the kingdom of God above. That together with you I may sing the song of the Holy Trinity.

Holy angel, pray for me!
Holy, guardian angel, who stands before my passionate soul and my life, do not leave me, a sinner. Nor depart from me for my intemperance.
Give no place to the wicked one, that he may forcibly rule over this body of mine. Strengthen my weak and feeble hand, and direct me to the right path.

So, holy angel of God, the guardian and protector of my soul, forgive me all that I have offended you with in all the days of my life, and all that I have done wrong this day.
Cover me this night, and keep me from all the temptations of the adversary, that I may not anger God with any sin; and pray for me to the Lord, that He may strengthen me in His fear, and show me, His servant, worthy of His goodness. Amen.”
