A dessert forgotten by many. My grandmother used to make this sweet “Tea” sausage for me when I was a child.

A long forgotten recipe for “Tea Sausage”…

Break the cookies apart with your hands or crush them with a rolling pin and place them in a bag.

Mix cocoa with sugar.

Cut the butter into pieces and melt in a saucepan, then add milk and pour in the cocoa and sugar mixture.

Place the pan on the stove and heat, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved (but do not bring to a boil!). Remove from heat and stir in the crushed cookies until a thick mass is obtained.

Form sausages from the mass, wrap them in cling film and put them in the refrigerator for 6 hours. Then cut them like sausages. You can replace sugar with condensed milk, and also add walnuts to the cookies.
