Ingredients:

Crispy Waffle Dough:
130g soft flour
30g cornstarch powder
1 egg (55g, weight including shell)
2 pinches of salt
40g (4 tbsp) sugar
40g melted unsalted butter (can replace with vegetable oil)
60ml milk
120ml water
6g (1 tbsp) baking powder
1 tsp vanilla oil
Soft Waffle Dough:
160g soft flour (can use all-purpose flour)
1 egg (55g, weight including shell)
2 pinches of salt
40g (4 tbsp) sugar
40g melted unsalted butter (can replace with vegetable oil)
180ml milk
6g (1 tbsp) baking powder
1 tsp vanilla oil
Instructions:
Prepare the Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soft flour and cornstarch powder (for crispy waffles) or just the soft flour (for soft waffles).
Add the baking powder, salt, and sugar to the bowl. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.
Add Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Add the melted butter, milk, water (for crispy waffles), and vanilla oil to the egg. Mix well.
Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms. Make sure there are no lumps.
Preheat the Waffle Maker:
Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or a little melted butter to prevent sticking.
Cook the Waffles:
Pour the batter into the preheated waffle maker, ensuring it spreads evenly. Close the waffle maker and cook the waffles slowly over low heat. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-5 minutes, depending on your waffle maker.
Serve:
Carefully remove the waffles from the waffle maker. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruits, whipped cream, maple syrup, or chocolate sauce.
Tips:
For extra crispiness, bake the waffles slowly over low heat.
Ensure the waffle maker is well-preheated and greased to prevent the waffles from sticking.
Enjoy your homemade crispy waffles!
