Tips:
Ferment the dough up to 3 times for extra fluffiness (time varies with room temperature).

Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add the warm milk and room temperature egg. Mix until the dough starts to form.
Add the room temperature unsalted butter and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (first fermentation).
Shape the Donuts:
Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet and let them rise again until doubled in size (second fermentation).
Cook the Donuts:
Frying: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the dough balls until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels.
Baking: Preheat oven to 170℃ (338℉). Bake the dough balls for about 20 minutes or until golden brown (baking time may vary by oven).
