Salt Crackers & Salt Cookies! (No Egg, No Butter!) ![]()

**Ingredients:**
β 100 ml lukewarm water
β 5 g dry yeast
β 1 tsp sugar
β 250 g flour (about 2 cups)
β 1 tsp baking powder
β 1 tbsp vegetable oil
β 1-2 tbsp poppy seeds
β 50-70 g grated cheese (cheddar, parmesan, or any firm cheese)
β 1/2 tsp salt (for dough)
β Extra salt for sprinkling (optional)
β Water and oil mixture (for brushing)
**Instructions:**
1. **Activate Yeast**: Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it foam for 5β10 mins.
2. **Make Dough**: Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add foamy yeast and oil, then knead until smooth.
3. **Add Flavour**: Mix in cheese and poppy seeds.
4. **Roll & Cut**: Preheat to 180Β°C. Roll dough to 1/8 inch, and cut into shapes.
5. **Brush & Bake**: Brush with water-oil mix, sprinkle extra salt if desired. Bake for 20β25 mins until golden.
6. **Cool & Serve**: Let cool completely, then store in an airtight jar.
