Today I decided to bake very tasty and simple kefir cookies. This recipe is economical because it uses vegetable oil, and the process itself does not take much time.

Cooking process:
I beat an egg into a bowl, add three tablespoons of sugar, a little vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt. Then I add vegetable oil and kefir. I mix everything thoroughly with a whisk. It is important that the kefir is at room temperature.
Add baking powder to the mixture and gradually add some of the sifted flour.
I add flour gradually, in two or three steps, depending on the consistency of the dough.
I continue to mix first with a whisk, then, when the dough becomes thicker, I continue to knead it with my hands until a soft dough forms.

I divide the finished dough into two equal parts.
I form each part into a sausage and cut it into eight approximately equal-sized pieces. You can weigh each on a kitchen scale for accuracy.
I round each piece to make neat balls.

I place them in a plate and cover them with film to prevent them from getting chapped.
I dip each ball in sugar, I use cane sugar, but regular sugar will do.
Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. I carefully make cuts on each with a sharp knife.
I bake cookies in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for about 20-25 minutes.
The result is a very fragrant and tender cookie that simply melts in your mouth. Be sure to try this recipe, it will surprise you with its simplicity and taste.
